Initial Consultation
This visit is a chance for us to get to know each other. It is very important to feel comfortable with your doula and meeting face to face helps both of us decide if we will be the best match to go on this beautiful birth journey together. This consultation is free of charge and there is no obligation to use Celebrated BIRTH.
Prenatal Visits
These visits are designed to help you prepare for your birth. Included in these visits will be discussion about the birth process, guidance with your birth plan, access to evidence-based facts and resources, hands on relaxation and comfort techniques, discussion about your desired birth atmosphere, and breastfeeding and infant care basics. These visits will also include discussion about specific questions and concerns you might have. If desired, we can accompany you to a prenatal visit with your health care provider. There are two prenatal visits included in our services. Though we cover many topics, Celebrated BIRTH strongly suggests taking an out-of-hospital childbirth education course.
Labor Support
We provide continuous labor support from the onset of labor extending through two hours post delivery. Labor support could start and stay in your home if you are planning a home birth, or start at home and move to the hospital. During this time, we will encourage relaxation, position changes, pain management techniques and comfort measures to aid in easing labor. Our goal during this time is to offer the care and support you need in order to achieve the birth you desire. We are also available to help you make informed decisions about your birth.
Resources
At your first prenatal visit you will be given a Celebrated BIRTH Resource Binder for your use during our time working together. It will include many helpful resources regarding your birth journey. You will also have access to our extensive Lending Library of childbirth related books.
Unlimited Phone and Email Support
We are available to you via phone and email, from the day we begin working together until your delivery.
On Call
We are on call 24 hours/7 day a week for your birth two weeks prior to your due date and two weeks after your birth.
Immediate Postpartum Support
After your delivery, we are available to help establish breastfeeding and bonding, infant care, and new family care. We can help with proper latch technique and other breastfeeding basics. Your comfort and your new family's comfort becomes our main priority. We know that this time is very special, as you are meeting your new, beautiful baby, so we are sensitive to your wishes to bond as a family.
Postpartum Visit
This usually occurs 3/4 days post delivery, and is a chance to relive your birth journey! We will offer any support and encouragement we can. We will talk about any concerns you might have regarding your personal postpartum care or discuss any questions you might have about infant care. We can also help with breastfeeding difficulties or concerns.
