Throughout history, laboring women have been supported, nurtured and empowered by other women.  As the setting of childbirth changed over time from the home to the hospital, the presence of women labor assistants, or doulas, have tapered.

It is our belief at Celebrated BIRTH that a woman should be supported during her birth journey to embrace, endure, and trust the physical, emotional, and spiritual nature of labor, birth and beyond. 

Celebrated BIRTH serves Northern Virginia and the District of Columbia, offering doula services to expecting mothers and families.  Whether you are planning a hospital birth or a home birth our hope is that you allow yourself to be transformed by your birth.  Childbirth is uniquely a female adventure and should be celebrated and honored, as it will change you forever.
